The Camyoga Yoga Teacher Training Diploma |
In association with Camyoga, one of the UK's leading yoga teacher training schools, we are delighted to offer a certified Yoga teacher training programme, consisting of two levels of course, a certificate over 12 months, and a diploma over 18 months.
Both courses are recognised as the professional standard for Yoga teaching in the UK, and give automatic entry to REPs (the UK register of exercise professionals). The diploma course is also accredited by the international Yoga Alliance.
The Camyoga Yoga Teacher Training
programme has been developed over many years, with some of the UK’s most outstanding teachers, and aims to bring the kind of excellence in Yoga Teaching that will help to carry this ancient and beautiful science forward in the 21st century. The Camyoga goal is to teach, preserve, and respect, all aspects of yoga in its traditional form, from its historical roots in India, whilst giving students an understanding of how modern yoga has developed in the west. The programme s dedicated to producing outstanding Yoga teachers. Camyoga courses features some of the UK’s leading teacher trainers, each one a first class experienced tutor at the forefront of their field.
The multidisciplinary teacher-training programme is open to all serious students of Yoga and existing Yoga teachers, from any Yoga background. The courses will equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to teach, whatever style of Yoga you specialise in. An important part of our courses is the development of student’s personal practice. Each training day will comprise at least 90 minutes of practice (asana, pranayama, and
meditation) and all students are expected to undertake serious Yoga practice throughout the period of training.
There are two levels of training:
Level 3 Certificate in Yoga teaching
128 contact hours | 112 study hours | 8 Weekends over 12 months
The certificate course is suitable for anyone wishing to start their teacher training journey, and is also perfect for those already teaching without a recognised qualification. The course provides an intensive training in anatomy and physiology, Yoga asana (postures), Yoga philosophy, Yoga history, pranayama and meditation. Tutors on this programme include Abby Hoffmann, Carol Trevor and Hayley Winter.
Level 3 Diploma in Yoga teaching
224 contact hours | 176 study | 14 weekends over 18 months
This course is an in depth exploration of Yoga at the 400 hour diploma level. As well as studying all the essential elements of the certificate programme, on this very special course, you will get a chance to work with some of the leading teacher’s in the UK – including Claire Missingham, Peter Connolly and Philip Xerri. The diploma contains all the core days of the certificate, plus additional days in:
The biomechanics of Yoga and working with injuries (Hayley Winter); Sequencing and chakra vinyasa (Claire Missingham); Pranayama foundation (Philip Xerri); Restorative Yoga, dharana and relaxation (Carol Trevor); History and philosophy (Peter Connolly); Asana – the art of adjusting (Abby Hoffmann).
Dates: The Diploma course runs in October of every year.
The certificate course runs twice a year, in April, and October.
Both courses map to the National Occupations Standards, and the qualifications frameworks set by OFQUAL, and also bring you in line with recognized standards within the global Yoga community. Both courses provide the national standard level 3 yoga teacher's qualification, giving graduates automatic entry to REPs (The register of Exercise professionals). The diploma course is also recognised by the International Yoga Alliance at 200 hour level.
The courses are open to all serious students of
yoga, successful applicants will usually have had a minimum of two years (certificate) and three years (diploma)
yoga practice with an experienced teacher, but we will also consider students
with other relevant experience and an established home practice.

to come along to one of our foundation days prior to acceptance onto the course.
